Daily Living Activities
Pulmy Home offer different care services depending on the needs of the client. As well as providing help for specific health concerns, we also offer general personal care, which is a necessity for self-esteem and general health and wellbeing. Our carers are trained to the highest standard, having a deep understanding of the work they do.
Communication and trust are very important skills to have within the care industry, with our staff having a great understanding of these aspects. We encourage clients to carry out aspects of their personal care routine if they’re able to, as we believe it is important for them to retain independence where possible, which will also help to maintain self-esteem. Our carers will build strong relationships with our clients, meaning they will feel happy and at ease with their carer, without suffering any loss of dignity.
Staying active is an important part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Whilst we appreciate that our clients may have different mobility issues, we’ll encourage exercise as much as they are able, to support both mental and physical health. As well as physical health benefits (such as strengthening of the heart and increased stamina), mental benefits include stress relief and improved mood.
Diet and meal preparation
Maintaining a nutritious diet is very important for staying healthy, allowing our clients to live life to the full. We provide the best dietary support when preparing and providing suitable meals for our clients – we have a dietary consultation service that will allow clients to advise on any dietary needs they have, so we can adequately prepare meals for them.
Incontinence and elimination care
Incontinence and elimination care are sensitive issues for clients – our carers recognise this and are trained to handle such situations with sensitivity and kindness. Our approach ensures clients will feel safe and supported in with all their toilet needs.
Bathing and washing
We also provide sensitive bathing and washing services – not only does this help to keep our clients healthy and happy, but it may reduce stress and increase circulation.
Our carers are trained to fully understand how to transfer and position our clients most safely – it’s important to us that our clients are placed into a correct posture position, to keep them as healthy as possible.
We offer a wide range of services to suit your every need, including overnight care, live-in care, dementia care, palliative care, 24/7 care and respite care – if you have any queries about our services, don’t hesitate to get in touch with our friendly and welcoming team.
